Tissue manipulation through massage is a non-invasive way to address a variety of ailments.

Overview of Muscular Anatomy

Skeletal muscles are made up of muscle fibers (cells). The muscle fibers are made up of thread-like tissues called myofibrils. Myofibrils are bundled up into groups to form the muscle fiber, also known as the muscle cell. Muscle cells are bundled up to create structures known as fascicles. Fascicles are bundled to create the muscle itself. The substance that is wrapping all of these component up is known as Fascia. Fascia can become bound and tight which causes the muscle fibers to have a difficult time moving properly. Massage can help smooth out the Fascia and give the muscles a healthy environment to work in.
